Crossroads Jobs Receives $5,000 Grant

For the second consecutive year, Crossroads Jobs has received a grant from The Cloudbreak Foundation. The $5,000 grant will help support Crossroads Jobs’ ongoing job search training and placement program which serves unemployed and underemployed residents in the Loudoun County area.

The Cloudbreak Foundation assists community-based charitable organizations in the Washington, D.C., metropolitan area, which promote welfare of children, the elderly and the homeless.

Throughout 2018, with support from the Loudoun community and foundations such as Cloudbreak, Crossroads Jobs has provided job search training to 130 local residents and has achieved 62 direct placements into marketplace jobs. About a quarter of the people placed in jobs were homeless, elderly or victims of domestic abuse supporting children. An additional 18% were individuals with disabilities.

“We are so grateful to The Cloudbreak Foundation for their continued support of our mission to offer dignity and hope to the jobless and underemployed in this area,” said Crossroads Jobs Executive Director Carol Smith. “Their confidence in our ability to get results is encouraging to our staff and volunteers, and well as the clients whose lives we strive to improve.”
